Laparoscopic
Surgery depends on the basic principle of open surgery but with the addition
of the special maneuvers and techniques applicable to a situation where
Surgeons work through a small opening without being able to manipulate any
organs manually, but the whole sequence being watched on a video screen
rather than through the wounds.
Kailash Hospitsal & Heart Institute was the pioneer in starting Laparoscopic Cholecystectomy
way back in 1994. This modality of Minimal Access Surgery became very
popular and one of the most sought after preferences in Kailash Hospital, Noida. The Hospital
has a very well organised and coordinated team consisting of a team of
Senior Laparascopic Surgeons, Anesthesists, Technicans and Nurses. Apart
from Laparoscopic Cholecystectomy, repair of all kinds of hernia
appendicectomy, intestinal resections, benign liver lesions & rectopexy
are being done besides hiatus hernia and spleenectomy. The Department is also working for the development of metabolic
and weight loss surgery.
